The Stitch & Switch Fashion Studio is a practical, hands-on workshop focused on basic sewing skills, garment repair, and simple clothing alterations. Designed for beginners and hobbyists, these sessions help participants build confidence using sewing tools while learning how to repair, customise, and extend the life of their clothing.
In The Art of Everyday Alterations, participants learn essential skills such as hemming jeans, repairing small holes with hand-stitching techniques, and adding simple darts to improve the fit of garments. The Open Sew Studio – Community Sewing Session provides a relaxed, collaborative environment where participants can bring their own sewing projects and receive guidance and technical support from an instructor while using the studio’s sewing equipment.
Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the session may be eligible for a reschedule or credit. Refunds are not guaranteed and are assessed on a case-by-case basis. No-shows or late cancellations may result in forfeiture of the booking.
Attendance & Punctuality
Participants are expected to arrive on time. Late arrivals may miss important instruction time, and sessions will still conclude at the scheduled time.
Membership Discounts
Valid Community Membership holders are eligible for a 10% discount on workshop fees. Discount codes must be applied at the time of booking and cannot be applied retrospectively.
Participant Responsibility
All participants are expected to behave respectfully and follow instructor guidance. The organisation reserves the right to refuse participation if behaviour is deemed disruptive or unsafe.
Photography & Media
Workshops may occasionally be photographed for promotional purposes. Please notify us in advance if you do not wish to be included.

We reserve the right to make changes to workshop schedules, instructors, or content where necessary. Participants will be notified of any significant changes.
