Digital Media Design - Week 1

Focus: Building foundational skills and introducing key concepts.

  • Exploring Colours, Typography and Presentation Skills

  • Colour theory: primary, secondary, and complementary colours and introduction to fonts.

  • Develop presentation skills.

Activity: Create a mind map of design elements and then present to the class.

Materials and Stationery Requirements:

  1. Sketchbook (A3 or 11.5"x16.5” – 300gsm)

  2. Pencils (HB and 2B for sketching)

  3. Erasers (Regular and kneaded erasers)

  4. Sharpener

  5. Coloured Pencils (for illustration)

  6. A set of 24/36 Coloured Textures/Markers (Any Brand - Dual-Tip Graphic Design Markers)

  7. Fine-Line Black Pen

  8. Poster colours/Water Colours

  9. Paint Brush (Flat and Round)

  10. Colour mixing palette

  11. Ruler
