DICE Junior is a structured, curriculum-aligned design program created specifically for upper primary students in Grades 5 - 6. Through hands-on, project-led learning, students explore the foundations of creative, visual, and wearable design while building real confidence in their artistic and problem-solving abilities.
This program blends traditional art skills with digital tools, giving students the perfect introduction to the world of modern design.
Your child will learn:
Core Design Principles
Students explore colour theory, layout, typography, motif creation, and the elements & principles of design through creative exercises and guided projects.
Digital Media & Visual Storytelling
Using tools such as Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, students learn software basics, poster design, logo creation, and how to communicate ideas visually.
Animation & Illustration Foundations
Students experiment with storyboarding, character design, stop-motion techniques, and sketching to bring their ideas to life through narrative and movement.
Wearable & Fabric Design
From textile experiments to fashion illustration and fabric painting, students explore surface design, theme development, and garment visualisation.
Portfolio & Exhibition Skills
Each student curates their own design portfolio and presents their work at the end-of-year DICE exhibition, celebrating growth, creativity, and confidence.
Price includes a 10% early-bird discount, available for both Term-by-Term enrolments and Full Year enrolments until 10 Dec 2025.
After the early-bird period, the 10% discount will only apply to students who enroll in the Full Year program before 9 Feb 2026 (the start of Term 1).
